Because he won't let doctor swab his throat. He's being restrained in a "Mummy Wrap".

What is this ? Please answer.

Been told he'll be lying on my lap, in this restraint ??

A so-called Mummy Wrap has a board on the bottom and has cloth that wraps around toward the open side. It then can be closed by either buckeled straps or using velcro. When it is wrapped around the SMALL patient it usually stops the youngster from thrashing about. The big deal here is making the child open his mouth to swap his throat. That can happen by someone taking the thumb and forefinger and and putting pressure on back of the jaw and hopefully opening the mouth to take the thoat culture.
