If you are constantly working on a computer, you can watch TV on your computer while taking a break from work, or only watch your favorite TV program. Also, you can watch a TV program while the computer is downloading data or busy with some CPU intensive process. For persons staying in a small flat, space is saved when your computer also functions as a TV. For more instructions please visit at

You need a graphics card with a TV output or a TV-out card which will enable you to use your TV as a monitor. You can get cables which go from the svhs output on the card to scart input for the TV.

If your graphics card has an s-video port you can connect this to a TV using an S-video to scart adapter. The TV has to be compatible with s-video for this though, usually would have an s-vhschannel.
there is also vga to composite adapters, though I have never used them before.

Mac: Use an HDMI cable, yet your Mac in all possibility would not have an HDMI port. Get an adapter from HDMI to Mini DisplayPort (0.33 port closest to the demonstrate screen; left ingredient) from an apple keep. laptop: you could purely use a VGA cable, yet verify your television is compatible first.
