I wish I could be of more help but I hope Katherine is wrong though I fear the statute of limitations law may no longer be in effect. It did once exist for every crime but murder but have noticed of late that many are being arrested for crimes that should have been eliminated by the statute of limitations.. which once was seven years.

I can't answer your question directly on parking tickets in TX, but there are statutes of limitations and they vary from state to state and from crime to crime. Likely you cannot wait out your parking tickets and hope they will go away. Most likely when you try to re-register your car or get a new drivers license there will be a flag on your account from the DMV and you woun't be able to process your transaction till you pay. Also, depending on the city and the severeness of the ticket(s) they may eventually issue a warrant for your arrest. Go pay your damm ticket!

Statutes of limitations refer to the period of time a person can file a civil suit. They don't have anything to do with criminal cases and / or the amount of time you have to pay your tickets before the state issues a warrant for you; if that's what you are asking. Most of the time if you get a failure to appear letter it will tell you how many days you have before a warrant is issued.
