Nope. Two Christmas's ago I spent it alone in my former house where the heat and water and electricity had been turned off. I had no food or anything and it was the most depressing Christmas ever. I am very happy for the company now. (along with the heat, water, lights and food)

No, very few people do. That means you are always surrounded by people and you need a quite place and time to be alone. In that case you are luckier than most people. But for most people, Christmas is the only time they can have all their family members to spend time with them.
Let me tell you a story. An elderly couple were longing for their two children who lived far away. Usually if they ask those kids to come, they would wrote back that they don't have money for the tickets. But the parents know that it is only and excuse.
So just before Christmas the father rang to his boy and said:
"Jim, tell you sister that we are going to get a divorce. I can't stand it any longer. So we have to decide to make an end of this miserable life." Jim immediately rang his sister, who got into the phone and rang back home to her parents.
She scream at the receiver: "What is this I heard from Jim?" Her father replied calmly: "You heard it right, we are going to get a divorce." Shirley shouted back louder:"The hell you do! Don't do anything until we come, do you hear me? Jim and I will be coming next week."
The father put the phone receiver back and smilingly said to his wife: "It's settled, they are coming for Christmas on their own expenses."

I will have some time alone, and I like the time for reflection and contemplation. For the most part I will be with family and friends. If totally alone, I would try to make the best of it.
I would also prolly not stay home all day, but find people, such as my elderly neighbors whom I have already visited this year, and spend time brightening their day. I may also find someplace to volunteer.
Christmas lives within us anyway.

Sometimes..it is such a family oriented holiday..like thanksgiving..i have had a few christmas's by myself and it wast so bad..It just sucks because even if you dont feel bad about it and your fine, all you have to do is turn on the radio or watch tv and noone is ever spending christmas alone there

Well this is the first year that I am going to spend some of my Christmas alone. I guess it will be alright, though once I get my daughter it will be MUCH better!

I would pay good money to spend Christmas alone.
Lie in bed, beans on toast (with cheese on top) for lunch.
Watch a bit of telly. Bliss!
But I guess this year I'll be peeling 2 pounds of sprouts at 8 am as usual.

These days I spent Christmas day with the in-laws but I generally leg it at about 4pm so I can have a few hours on my own, chilling out, before a few people come back to mine for a few drinks.
Gives me time to recharge my batteries.
