I'm 4 months pregnant, and my nose is running like a waterfall, and every time it stops, I sneeze, and it starts all over again. I would like to scratch my eyes out with a rake, and at the same time that my nose is running like an open fire-hydrant, it's so stopped up that I can't breathe.

Help!

BTW, I've been instructed to take benadryl and claritin (not at the same time), and neither of them are doing ANYTHING.

My eyes STILL itch, and my nose is STILL running. I've gone through a roll of toilet paper within the past hour!

Oh, gosh!! I understand. I'm pregnant as well and have the same thing. My doctor gave me Zyrtec and also some nasal spray. He said that I can take Benedryl(not with the Zyrtec but if the Zyrtec didn't work) An air purifier might work and trying to limit your exposure to allergens(pets, smoke, etc.) I would talk to your doctor before taking anything!! Good luck..hope you feel better soon!

Don't eat the local honey unless it is filtered, you shouldn't eat natural honey when your pregnant because of bacteria. Saline works great for clearing your sinus'. Ask your Dr, about taking spirulina, it halps with allergies and immune system, it also has lots of protein, B-12 and Omega-3 fatty acids, all very good for you while pregnant.

You should ask your doctor to make sure but I use a drug called Allegra it works really well for me. It is also okay to use Benadryl, which you don't have to get a prescription for so it would be way easier to get, you should get the non drowsy kind cause Benadryl can knock you out.

Yes! Here is the best remedy - eat local honey. Find it at a co-op or Farmer's Market. Because it's made from pollen in local trees and flowers (thanks to to local bees) it introduces all these allergens into your body through honey, instead of through your nose.

Your body will get used to them and you'll stop being allergic. The honey won't make you sick or anything, because allergens only affect the mucus membranes of the body.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry you are suffering. Call your doctor even if it's after hours and ask them if it's okay to take an over-the-counter medicine like Benadryl and if not to call you in a prescription because you are going crazy.

Please don't tolerate it any longer, okay?
