I think he was right all along and never should have been jailed. A doctors job is to relieve suffering and that's what he was doing..helping patients die with dignity..I think he had courage and that more doctors should care that much..most doctors don't even give you pain meds if you are in severe pain (mine) ..wonder what that oath was about...I totally agree with you..it should be legalized.

I can honestly say that I agree with assisted suicide. As you say, to die with dignity and without pain is the best way to go, when you do go.
I'm pretty sure that everyone he helped, sought his help and therefore it was their choice to die when they did.
So to fully answer your question.....I am okay with Kevorkian (proper spelling btw) getting out of jail.

I think that he should never have been in prison. I don't agree that the state should play Big Daddy and tell us how we can die or dictate to anyone that they have to suffer a horrible death. Kevorkian was doing people a favor. I believe that if you want to go, you ought to be allowed to with the help of a physician who is willing to assist. You folks who work in hospice are the greatest people I have ever met in my life. .Thank you for being there. May you and yours have a great holiday season!
