This is my 1st pregnancy and I'm having a girl. Shouldn't I have the basketball belly by now? I'm showing only a little bit, enough where some people can tell that I'm pregnant, but others can't. Should I be worried?

No worries. Your baby might just be in a position that doesn't protrude very much. Just wait until your baby "drops" (gets head down and in the birth position). You'll DEFINITELY look pregnant then!
Congrats!

no you shouldnt be worried at all, i am 32 weeks also with a girl, and im still very tiny. i have a little bump but its not huge, some people cant really tell that im pregnant either. but your OB will measure you, and have your weight monitored. Because im so small they want me to get an ultrasound again to make sure the baby is gaining enough weight, but it could be just cause im tiny to begin with. but tiny or not, i've gained 26 lbs. but they will monitor you, if they think there is a problem in size you will get an ultrasound most likely to see whats going on in there. If they see a problem they will tell you about it and work out something where you could be doing more to gain weight, and get bigger. Also, the baby might be in a position that she's not so spread out, such as Frank Breach position, not to worry, she still could have time to change & move if thats the case.

Not at all, you should consider yourself lucky. Your muscles have not been streched out so that is partially why you are in such good shape. Every woman carries her baby differently and some are set back further in the abdominal cavity. If you workout then that could help with your stomach muscles. I bet that the last few weeks your belly will bloom. Congratulations on the new baby. And remember asking this question when you have more babies. You might get a big belly the next time.

no, you shouldn't be worried. My mom was preg. 3 times, and every time she was very small. I remember going to the hospital with her when she was about to have my sister, and hospital workers were asking her if she was having a miscarriage or something because they thought that she was like 4 months pregnant. But she was actually nine months and in labor. To make the story short, a lot of women have small bellies during pregnancy and end up having healthy beautiful babies.

Whether you show or not has nothing to do with the baby's development. As long as your weight gain is where it should be and your uterus is growing like it's supposed to (that's what the measuring tape is for at the doctor's office), then you have nothing to worry about. I know of one girl I went to school with that did not show at all, or at least enough to hide very well, so nobody knew she was pregnant until she delivered!! You have nothing to worry about at all. Blessings...

As long as your OB says that you are measuring well (having the proper centimeters from pelvis to top of uterus) you should be fine. You might just have a small baby. Or a uterus that is tipped into your stomach. If you have severe back pains, that might be the case. Otherwise, some women just don't show a lot, no matter what.

Depending on your pre-pregnancy weight and your body type, you may not show too much. If you were heavy before becoming pregnant, this might explain it. Every woman carries her baby differently. If your doctor isn't concerned about it, I wouldn't worry too much. Best of luck!

When i was preg. I really didn't show at all. dont be worried. it is normal. Everyone's different in turn every preg. is different. If you think there is a problem scheadule and ultra sound to check on the baby. Good luck and congrats.the worst has yet to come.
