Is it wrong to be good friends with an ex-lover when your getting ready to be married?

I would say yes , as it can cause issues. Trust is one thing but there is always insecurity. What if things go wrong in the present relationship? There is also what if 's in life. But most of all what was the break up of that relationship.
I am in the same situation , I love my fiance with everything,but find it very hard when she is friends with X's . Maybe it is a man thing. But it makes me uncomfortable knowing that as friend they can come around and rem anise about the old times.
So again I would have to go with yes .

It's up to the fiancee. Do they know about your friendship? If they do know and it's ok, then what difference does it make? Now if they don't know, then something is still going on with your ex-lover. If that's the case then you don't need to get married or get rid of ex-lover/good friend. It's all about trust.....

It is not wrong but one need to be practical in situations like these. Irrespective of your honest desire to have only friendship with your ex-lover, now there is a third person involved and you have to think about his feelings as well. I think it's a bad idea.

out of the picture or it will just confuse everyone involved
visiting children yes but leaning on one anothers every word to each other.. every whim.. problem and talking is not good for the new friend to deal with.

id like to say that before i got married to the one im with i use to talk to an x lover/xboyfriend and it absoulty wil do nothing expect add more fuel to ur marriage so id like to say no dont do it
