ok i am 15 years old and i have been sick for about a week off and on. i am vomiting and my stomach hurts like crazy. it is like cramps but much worse. i went to the doctor and they said it was most likely the stomach flu but im not so sure i dont have any other syptoms. does anyone have any other ideas of what it might be? i will have to go to the doctor again if it continues much longer. have any idea what it might be so i am more prepared. i am tired of worrying over what might be nothing.no medicines have helped..thanks

There are tons of things that could be causing nausea and stomach pain. I could speculate, but it'd be irresponsible. I will say that a full week of stomach pain is probably not stomach flu... that usually only lasts a day or two. If it's severe, and not getting better after a week, I think seeing the doctor again is a good idea. It might be nothing serious, but there's not a good reason to suffer.

When you go to the doc, describe the pain and the location well. Things like "stabbing", "cramping", or "dull" are diagnostic words that they will want to know. BE HONEST about your sexual activity, drug/alcohol use, and any medicines you have taken.
