how can you remove turmeric(curry powder) from white painted counter tops?

I have a real problem with staining my countertops with yellow turmeric powder,How can I remove the yellow stains from my kitchen counter and linoleum floor?

make a paste of cleanser and use a scrubby type pad and let it sit for awhile.any cleanser that has bleach COMET AJAX.
