Well first of all celeron D isnt too great. its really a cheapo processer. it looks like the graphics card it a cheap intel too. You really want an AMD system. They are much faster. For instance. Here is the notation : AMD 64 5200+ 2.0ghz. What this means is that even though the core runs at 2.0 ghz, it can actually get the job done faster than an Intel 5.2 GHZ system! This is because it doesnt f*** around with doing a task. It just gets it done. You should look for a real video card. Like an ATI or Nvidia chip (or any card maker that uses its GPU). How much money are you willing to spend on it? IF you can tell me i can find you the BEST system for your money for you.

way too severe! till the USD to AUD substitute cost yields a 40% advance. i5 2400- $one hundred ninety 8GB RAM - $50 128GB SSD - $one hundred thirty DVD Burner - $25 abode windows 7 abode - $one hundred GeForce GTX 560 (non-Ti) - $one hundred ninety 500W potential grant - $60 Bitfenix Shinobi - $70 ok, that is a finished of $805. Now i do not see a motherboard listed. Are you upgrading from a midsection i3 and conserving the same motherboard. or develop into that merely handed over? Assuming his value coated a mobo, it is yet another $ninety 5. So we are at $900. i imagine exertions/assembly should not be more beneficial than $one hundred-$one hundred fifty, which skill you're paying about $250 to $three hundred too a lot. If there isn't any longer a sparkling motherboard contained in the deal, you're overpaying by technique of $350-$400.

Well..the processor isn't great and the graphic card is average. It will very soon be obsolete.

Better go for an assembled system. It will be cheaper and won't cost you too much extra money than this. You should have given the price for which this is selling at. Anyways go for following configuration or look out for it.

Intel Core duo / AMD Athlon 64 bit 3200+ processor

A compatible Intel / ASUS motherboard respectively with sound. Do not go for on-board graphic card motherboards.

1 GB RAM

ATI RadeON graphic card X1400 (or at least X1300) / XFX Geforce 6600 GT 128/256MB graphic card

hard disk with 7200 RPM speed (rotations per minute).

Everything else is per your choice. But above four things make your PC run well.

Emachines are great basic computers but not gaming computers. Celeron will never be as quick as Pentium. You'd be better off buying a piece at a time from a place like Newegg or keeping an eye on the paper. My son bought his at a pawn shop and upgraded it. He got it for $100. And we got a monitor from Freecycle for nothing. Wireless keyboard and mouse (Microsoft) for $44 from Target new.

Thats not a bad machine for what it sounds like you want to do. I would get more memory at least 1gb and definity a new video card, and if you can a larger hard drive. Its not going to be the fastest computer in the world but it should do what you want it to if you upgrade those parts. Also check out a couple of these sites to see what other deals you might find and compare them to the computer above:

Celeron is not so good, this machine will most likely struggle with the games you are playing. It would need a better graphics card and the money you spent on that and this machine you could buy something new offf of pricewatch.com.
