No, I don't like them, I spend my time reading non-fiction and trying to learn something. Wisdom is king!

Well, if you look at the first two movies, they stay very close to the books. Once you get to the third movie, they start taking out some important parts. I enjoyed watching the fourth movie, but was diappointed. I feel they left out some very important elements that could have been added without adding much to the length of the movie (his relationship with Sirius). I really feel like the things they left out will negatively impact the subsequent movies. So, as I said, 1 and 2 are about the same, but after that, the books are significantly better than the movies (especially with the new Dumbledore in 3 and 4. He's not nearly as strong as the first one).

How I do so love answering this question...Books! There is so much to the books that you can't fit in the movies! There's also the slight fact that since Chris Columbus stepped down as director, the movies have be really shitty (anyone notice the excessive amount of *pink* Emmonie has been wearing lately?). There are several deep and intriguing facets of the Harry Potter world that the movies just can't capture. The movies, thanks to Steve Kloves, have downplayed characters who, as we learn reading the books, become key to the development of the plot (i.e. Ginny, Draco, Neville). I could go on and on about why the books are better than the movies but I don't want to bore you.

Books!!!!!!!! I HATE the movies (but I still watch them) the movie left out so many good parts of the book and they changed some of the ways events happened. If you are going to make a movie out of a book that great you need to add eveything (like Lord of the Rings) But all the people I know that didnt read the book really liked the movie.
*cant wait for the 7th book!!!!!!!

The books are really good and the movies are true to the original story. Your imagination may be hurt a little by watching the movie...nothing is ever the way you imagined it, but they did a really good job this time with the movies. The best book of the series is "the goblet of fire".

I lile both. I like the discription of the book, but I like the movies best. Movies are easy to watch, understand, and it doesn't take as much time as it does to read the book.

The books are fantastic, they suck me right in, and I can't put them down once I start. For me, the movies are great too, but as dessert to the meal of the book.
