Im doing a science porject...and I need to know what the nucleus of cobalt looks like in a diagram. I need to know how many dots and stuff aree in the nucleus....You can email me at italk2crows@hotmail.com if you have a picture or info..Thanks a ton!

Well, Cobalt-60 has an atomic weight of 60 and an atomic number of 27, so that means you've got 27 protons and 33 neutrons in the nucleus, along wiht 27 electrons in orbit.

Dots really won't do it. You really need Styrofoam cones and such. Electrons really don't exist as dots. They exist as various shaped shells and other shapes.

The nucleus has 27 Protons and 32 Neutrons.
