one more thing you want to do which is the most important is disabling access to the command prompt. the right user can do ANYTHING they want to a computer and/or network with this.

you need to log onto the computer under his account and do the following:

1. Start Regedit (go to Start > Run >then type regedit hit enter
2. Go to HKey_Current_User \ Software\ Microsoft \Windows \ Current Version \ Policies \ Explorer
3. Right click on the right panel and add a New / DWORD
4. Name it NoFile or NoRun
5. Give it a value of 1
6. Logoff or Reboot the computer

if you are on xp, you can put a limited account on sons sign in that will prevent them from installing or removing any programs/software
and they have limited priviledges as to what they can do

agree with both above, just go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Create Account, select Limited acc

and to make sure he dosent go back on yours, put a password on yours (Start>...>User Accounts>*your username*>Create Password {or whatever it says})
