If you're travelling the roads of Rome or the Roman Republic in 106 BCE, the biggest difficulty you will face is that there's no such thing as Christianity yet. BCE means "before Christian era" -- that is, before Christ was born. No Christ, no Christianity.

certain inns along the roman roads were known to serve some of their :dead-beat",non-paying guests to the next visitors to their inns!!this may perhaps be the genesis of provencle cooking!!the appian way and other roman roads were the sometime haunts of highwaymen, brigands and cutpurses as much as everywhere else!!the whole roman population may be said to be a flourescence of the rape of the sabine women!!and many prominent roman families still trace their roots to these acquired women!!one would never travel alone if one were smart!!bodyguards were the formula of the day!!a swift chariot was sometimes indispensable;evn though it could be easily waylaid if enough warning of it's coming were ascribed!!being alsolutely poverty-stricken was no guarantee of safety or disinterest either as many such people were sold into slavery whereever they were found!!rape in the case of men or women was common place!!!the unemployed were used in the area or as lion food!!see naples and die???see rome and be eaten by ravenous beasts!!

Study the epistles of the Apostle Paul.
He walked the path beautifully.
Take care!
Merry Christmas.
