who else thinks that all it means is that we are closer to the end of the world, seriously, God says the earth will be destroyed, why would he let us inhabit another planet? all that means to me is that we're near zero hour.

Mars' atmosphere is composed of 95.3% CO2, 2.7% Nitrogen, 1.6% argon and 0.15% oxygen. It is 1% as thick as the Earth's atmosphere. If you tried breathing that you'd die very quickly - but that doesn't matter because you'd explode as the surface preassure is significantly lower than that of your body. I don't think that's very condusive to human life.

Besides, if God is all-powerful would he really find it that much effort to destroy colonies on other planets?

mars has an atmosphere but it cannot support human life. the pressure is very low. you'd puff up like arnold in total recall. the planet just doesn't have strong enough gravity to hold an atmosphere like earth does. it's also pretty cold there. I don't think the bible says much about moving to another world. the problem with that is the same one we have here: we'd eventually destroy it too unless we changed our ways. don't give up on earth yet, though. there's still time to salvage it.

God says that Jesus will come and take all good people to heaven, call the apocolipst, he never said that he would destroy the earth. Also, we could never live on mars alone, we need water, air, an atmosphere and many other things so how is it safe to live there. Another thing, we NEVER know when the apocolipst will be, do you want it to happen?

Well, if you are right then we have been close to the end for
millions of years. Mars has always had an atmosphere.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up.

It's pretty hard to live on Mars, I assure you.
