When I turn on my computer, I get the screen saying “Windows is starting up” and it doesn’t. If I start my computer & hit F8, There is an error message saying “keyboard failure” before it lists other starting options like “safe mode,” or “Start Windows normally,” ect. Regardless of which option I choose, the key board will not let me type in my password. If I repeatedly restart my computer using the F8 key, eventually I will not receive the “keyboard failure” message and I can start it ONLY in safe mode. If the keyboard is the problem, how can using the F8 key work for starting in safe mode?

1. make sure the kb is plugged into the right port, if your mouse has been switched with the kb you will have problems.
2. if that's not it then replace the kb
3. if that doesn't work reinstall windows.
4. if that doesn't work then try dynamite. (just kidding)
