I had one before surgery. It doesn't hurt, but feels weird.

Relax and let it flow. Are you talking about a Baron Enema? If so, they will fill your large intestines up with a material so they can get some good x-ray pictures. You will feel like you have to have a LARGE bowel movement which will be very true.

Its NO big deal, but is uncomfortable. Just relax, let them do their thing and it will be over. You will be given a laxative when it is over so the enema material won't clog you up.

When it is over you WILL head for the bathroom with is VERY close. Good luck. Pops

Don't worry! Doesn't hurt a bit. Actually, a lot of women enjoy enemas and do them at home themselves. It'll just feel uncomfortable (like you really, need to go to the bathroom), but no pain.

I actually don't think rubbing your belly will help at all. If anything, you're gonna want to grip something hard so you won't just push all the liquid out! :)

It may be uncomfortable at the most, but it won't hurt. You'll find out after the procedure that you were all worried for nothing. Best of luck to you........

it should not hurt but it will create discomfort..
the tube will be lubricated to minimize the feeling and ease entry...
u need to relaxe and breathe before and during the procedure ... any extra tention will increase discomofrt and might result in slight pain...
it should be ok...

good luck

Nothing to worry about, it will be over before it starts, some cramping may be there, some, then it's all over.
