Did you major in art as an undergrad and then make it into law school? If so what was your major?

I want to study film and then apply to law school after my four year degree. Do you think this is possible or am I at a disadvantage?

What do you think was the major deciding factor in you being accepted to the school with an art degree?

Law schools do not have any course requirements or any required majors. All you need is basically any degree and an LSAT score.

The Art major may make you stand out, but you still need to have an acceptable GPA and LSAT score for them to take you. I wouldn't say it's any real advantage or disadvantage. It just gives you a less common way of presenting why you want to go to law school. Anything interesting is always good though, but it's up to you to show that in your application.

I don't know why someone rated your answer as bad, but I rated it good to cancel it out.

Personally, I did not major in art. BUT I did get into law school and I know some of my classmates were art majors. You may even be at an advantage as a film major, since you will stand out from all those English/ Poli Sci applicants. Plus, if you want to go into entertainment law, a film background could be very useful. Good luck!
