Our bones are composed of calcium, a metallic element. So he'd be able to control everyone, not just Wolverine, right?

Ah, didn't realize that he only controlled magnetic metals. :)

Of course! Hence the name...

Magneto = Magnet Just iron and iron alloys. I would assume that atomantium was an iron alloy.

Only a few materials are ferromagnetic, and calcium is not one of them. Despite the fact that there is a small amount of iron in the human body, for the most part intense magnetic fields have almost no effect on it. Although there was an "EM field" scare in the early 90's that had everyone ditching their electric blankets and moving away from power lines. More stringent scientific studies did not show any effect (at least short term) on the human body or on behavior. People stand next to massive electromagnets all the time with no harm (assuming they don't have a really big steel belt buckle...).
In the X-Men 2 movie "Hollywood science" tried to get around this by having Mystique inject a copius amount of iron into Magneto's guard (admittedly a better attempt than Hollywood normally manages at real science).

Yes, assuming you're right about the bones being metallic, I myself do not know, he'd almost certainly be able to control other people. Perhaps (I'm assuming he doesn't know this, I haven't seen X-Men I or X-Men III) it is because he does not know that bones are metallic, that he does not control them as well (I am once again assuming he doesn't control people).

Wolverine had an adamantine reinforced skeleton. Calcium does not have magnetic properties to my knowledge. Any Physicists out there care to comment?

On the movies he doesnt have the same strength as the comics. If it followed the comic story, magneto could stop the earth itself.

Good Question, since there is iron in blood, but not enough to control a person.

Yes, but he can only move metal in large amounts, but not on a molecular level.
