Sounds like your rotors are warped and will need to be replaced. I would not get them machined if you have a few miles on them as you can get brand new rotors for next to nothing.
Before you decide on rotors have you checked to see the inside of your rims are clean from mud and dirt? However, you would notice a constant vibration while driving if this was the case.
If you are going to do the job yourself to replace the rotors get new calipers, pads because more than likely the pads will have worn unevenly as well you may have a faulty caliper where the pistons are shot that may have lead to the warped rotor.

This is an indication that your brake rotors are warping. When the pads qwear down so do your rotors. The abrasion causions the rotors to wear down and in effect the heat produced by the friction causes the rotors to warp. Rear will brakes will also do this. To test the brakes to narrow down your search, slow the vehicle down using the emergency brakes only. If it shudders, the the rear brakes are your suspects, if it does not cause the shake, then the front brakes are causing your complaints.
good luck...............

Your brake rotors could need to be re surfaced and your brake pads may need to be replaced. You should take your car in and have it checked. It is possible there may be something else going on too and they will be able to find everything. Good Luck

They might not be warped, in some cases it is just deposits of brake pad material on the rotor. It still needs to be machined though.

It probably means your rotors are warped, and the next time you get a brake job done make sure they replace all four. Oh ya and don't forget to check to make sure they actually did the work and not just charged you for it. good luck

rotors are warped. they use cheap metal and they rust out from the inside creating irregularities in the surface on the rotor that you feel when you brake. get new rotors when your brake pads are due or get it done now if it really bothers you.

You may have a Warped rotor, if you have disk brakes. If you have drum style, there may be grease or oil on the shoes.

it means that your brake rotors are most likely warped. you can have them resurfaced by a garage or you can just replace them if the new ones are not too expensive.
