I totally loved the Eragon book, but I am having serious doubts about the movie.....

I think that the name is severely ripping off Aragorn from LOTR, which is probably... scratch that... IS better than this garbage anyway.

I have seen it, and I think, it's a total and complete misrepresentation of the book.

Saphira looks beautiful, Brom stays true to charecter, and Morgtag is a hottie :O , but Eragon is much too arrogant, Angela comes along at the most random time in the book, and Galbatorix and the Shadeslayer can't act. Everything happens out of order and the last battle is total and complete Hollywood (along with parts of many other scenes).

I'd go watch it if you want to get refreshed on the book, but don't expect to be impressed.

Let me explain! They did cut sooooooooooo much stuff out, and blended things together that weren't supposed to be together! However, they picked a Great cast: Jeremy Irons as Brom, HOT, Edward Speleers HOT, Garrett Hedlund HOT and a bunch of others that include John Malkovich and ohther notable actors! However, they cut out those things to save TIME, the movie was going on 3 hours, if they had done the whole book, it would have been at least 5 or 6 hours and you could't possibly leave the theater! I recommend anyone and everyone to see it, however to keep in mind at the same time that TIME was of the essence in creating the movie and with regards to fans of the movie who have to sit through it! I thought it was just as EXCELLENT as the book and I give it Lots of praise and will buy it on dvd when it comes out! I LOVED IT!

As I've said in many other places. The movie Eragon IS good!

Unfortunately, as you are a pre-movie "book reader" the movie is likely to not live up to your expectations. - that's a guess...but so many who have read the book first, have not liked it.

But you never know. I've also read comments from those who have read the book, and still loved the movie!

Personally, I hope you like it. Cos I loved it!

My recommendation to those who havn't read the book:
WATCH THE MOVIE FIRST! (that way you can avoid disappointment.) : )

there is already a e book sequel, entitled 'Eldest' regrettably, interior the 1st action picture they omitted rather a great variety of suggestions needed to the continued plot of the sequence, so a 2d action picture will could revise and fill a number of those gaps. Why Paolini did not element that out to the scriptwriters I have not have been given any thought. P.S. there is likewise a third e book, Brisingr, and a 4th being written.

It was ok. Things seemed way too rushed and there wasn't enough talking between Saphira and Eragon. For me that was one of the things that made the book funny. Otherwise it was good. Could've been better but it could've been much worse. I might go see it again.

I thought it was great............i have read all the books and i am excited for the next one. Though they did cram alot of stuff into an hour and a half movie......and missed ALOT of stuff from the book. But hey i expected that. Every time they make a movie from a book they leave a bunch of stuff out (ex: harry potter, LOTR) movies like that.

As my husband says..it was the suckiest suck that ever did suck.

It was a waste of time and money. It rarely followed the book. It was bad.

I thought it was good. It didn't break any new ground but it didn't dissappoint either. It was better than most of garbage Hollywood has pumped out this year.
