If Zito ends up in Atlanta I hope he turns out better than the last Oakland pitcher that went there. Hudson has been a huge disappointment.

At any rate Boriss needs to get Zito signed somewhere soon. Zito is nice but his asking price as way up there and he may not be worth it.

it relatively is possibly the turn around for Barry Zito. Getting the 1st win of the season may be a super strengthen thinking how badly this season has long gone for him. Now, he basically needs to construct in this sturdy overall performance and win, and pitch lots greater video games like that. that should have the potential to coach around this season for him.

I think he'll end up in Texas.

I know the Mets are making their pitch this week, but I don't think they're willing to give the six years that Zito apparently wants. The Rangers are desperate to win, and they need a serious improvement in their pitching staff if they're to do that. Tom Hicks has shown before that he's not afraid to spend, and I can see him doing that again with Zito.

Texas or the mets. The mets need another good pitcher especially a good lefty. the rangers are another possibility because they are always looking for pitching and although the mets could get it done its New York and everyone can see what the media and the pressure in ny can do to a player.

When ever there is a lot of hype w/ the mets signing or trading for a player, it does NOT happen. (Soriano, and A-rod). Therfore i will predict the Rangers'cause Tom Hicks will overpay players(Park and A-rod). But zito will be good here because he has pitched well in Arlington already in his career.

With Bonds gone next year the Giants are in a perfect spot to offer zito a big long term contract.

NY. I get the feeling they're just feigning lack of interest in matching the asking price in hopes of driving it down (though I do think they're serious about keeping it to 5 yrs. I think he really wants to go there and would take less to do so (which would drive BorAss nuts), but not $30 mil less. I think the Mets get creative and do a 5 year base at about $80 and include several option years, based on innings that would get it just short of 7/$100. That way they're not stuck with a bad contract if he gets hurt. They get their man and save a little face in saying it's a 5 year deal.

I will go down on my knees and pray that he does not go to Texas. Otherwise all I know is that he will not end up with the team that needs him most (and probably will not shell out the bucks) despite his inflated price, and that is the Seattle Mariners. My guess then would have to be Atlanta.
