I suppose there isnt really a best category i can personally define for music, because everyone has their own taste, it also depends what mood you are in, which i suppose has a big influence on what you listen to, i would say all music has its own style and i suppose the fans of the music define that genre as "Best" personally by supporting that artist and listening to their music...

I like a bit of everythiung, I like individual songs rather than some styles. I think it's important to know many genres. But Latin American music always does it for me.
Did you notice all those who like rap got thumbs down? Rock fans are very intolerant of other music, they always have been like that, yet you never see the others slagging their favouriote music off. I wonder if they'll ever accept everybody has different taste...

Hmm..I happen to like latin music the best (salsa, merengue, etc.) but I enjoy listening to many kinds of music. I like some rock, some R&B, some classical (can't beat the piano!) and even some ethnic music from other parts of the world.

Metal
it lets out your rage
some songs i like even talk about civil war and racial issues
it speaks to me
i can relate to it because it talks about teen angst
but other songs can also be fun
plus, metal has had more outrageous moments than any other genre

Well im 41 y/o ..so iv seen bands come and go ...( one hit wonders )... but Queen and Depeche Mode still have the "Edge".... U2 just turn out the same "Type" of hard core yawn ...
For me ..i would say Depeche Mode made it for me...

i have always liked the beatles. their music was so wide and varied....i also like some of todays music, especially the rythmn. can't say i like rap or anything related.
