Sure have and still do. I was never taught how to do it, it just happens. I have to be extremely relaxed, and take deep breaths in and out slowly before I can begin.

I write in my journal a lot. First I write to whoever I want to. At that time I wrote a letter to God and his angels asking for help and venting about things going on in my life. On the next page I wrote Dear (my name) and relaxed myself. My hand started moving so fast that I didn't focus on what it was saying...I just let it run its course. After I was finished, my hand starts slowing down almost like a circular motion or looping. Then I go back and read what it was about. Its always very positive telling myself things I am good at and then the letter usually gives me some guidance in what I can do or what I need to personally work on. I took the very first letter to an angel reader and she told me that it was one of two things...either an angel or spiritual guide OR my higher self. I do it often and then go back months later, to see what I wrote. Its amazing even the handwriting difference. My handwriting is very neat and because I teach, almost perfect. The automatic handwriting is usually very small, slanted, and scribbly.
Some responses have been from family/friends who have passed away and they are always pretty positive or tell me again what to do in situations.

Ideomotor effect
This is the psychological phenomenon that underlies dowsing, automatic writing, table tipping, and the Ouija board. Quite unconsciously, the participant is moving the hand enough to make the movement of the involved device occur, though he may attribute the motion to the divine or supernatural force in which he believes. In all these events, nothing in the way of information is revealed to the operator except what he already knows. The effect is very powerful with some personalities, and no amount of evidence will disabuse believers in the magical nature of the phenomenon.

Yes I have done it before,You have to do a full concentration on clearing your mind. And position the hand w/ a ballpen on a writing pad.then the hand will move into writing a circle before it will write a word or sentences. If you use it for a joke the message does not make sense. You have to use this to help you for intense problems .
