Frankly, I agree with linda. A realist would have the greatest probability of accomplishing his/her goals. However, if I had to choose from the selection that was given, I would say the idealist is most likely to get things done. Being pessimistic wouldn't motivate anyone to do anything, much less put hard work and effort into reaching a certain level in life. An optimist is considerable, but it must be acknowledged that overoptimism can be one's own downfall. Overoptism can cause one to have an unhealthy dependence on luck or on the kindness of people that seems to have slowly diminished over the years. Although an idealist may set unrealistic goals, he/she would probably set the best, most worthwhile goals, though it really all rides on opinion. Having a meaningful goal serves as a more powerful motivation, thus, making the goal more likely to be reached. After all, when there's a will, there's a way.

Should all 3 choose a goal:

-the pessimist would view things in a "negative" way so would justify why he doesnt need to complete the course

-the idealist would take "the big picture" approach and can compound a simple aswer into something that even he would be unable to comprehend

-the optimist would always view things in a "positive" way and maintain they would always succeed

There is a higher probability that the optomist would accomplish their goals first with the idealist coming second and the pessimist third

What i've found in real life however is that its 'best' to have all 3 on a project because every angle is contrasted and scrutinised which gives the 'best results'.

“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi

"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it."

There it is. None of the above; Optimist, Pessimist, Idealist...[Realist]... etc.

Nobody is gonna get nothing done, that's it.

Between now, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, New Years, etc.~ Nobody may proceed towards any meaningful goal or endeavor.

An optimist would probably procrastinate a little, thinking all will work out in time.
A pessimist probably wouldn't even attempt their goals for fear of failure.
A idealist would go full throttle to create the 'ideal' situation.

(I would consider myself a realist, leaning a little to the pessimist side!!)

idealist. you cant be too overconfident (optimist) or underconfident (pessimest) to accomplish a goal. you need to take a realistic look at what it is going to take to get you there.

the idealist will hopefully look at the situation realistically and accomplish the goal sooner than the others.

I have not have been given any undertaking being trustworthy. in spite of the reality that i'm somewhat on the useful area too. I consistently seem for the good/wish in situations. :)

The unstated goal of each is to create their universe as they see it. They will all accomplish this. Which world would you prefer to live in?
