What is it that makes a Beetle survive a horrific fall and walk away.
If you hold a beetle out at shoulder height or higher and simply drop it, after its plummeted from the height in relation to, one of our skyscapers, it simply walks away. If you flick a beetle whilst its walking along, same thing happens. With us its hospital and rehab for months, with them its "Leg it", So what gives...????

Beetles aren't superhuman. They're superbeetle.
Actually, most of their 'incredible' abilities are due to the economics of scale.
The chitin that makes up their exoskeleton isn't as strong as bone, but at their size, it doesn't have to be, because it doesn't need to support as much weight. At their size, they're mostly surface area, and not much volume.
For an elephant, jumping from a desk down to the ground would be fatal. A horse could easily break a leg. But for us, because we are so much smaller, we don't even notice it. A cat can fall from even farther.
It has to do with how much weight is spread over how much area.

The speed at which something falls is a function of its weight and surface area. Things that are really light don't fall very fast. Combine that with the tiny amount of inertia that a beetle has due to its light weight and small size and they can fall from hundreds of feet without damage.

It couldn't be easyer. They have an EXOSKELETON,witch means he has bones on the outside but he has nothing in the inside. That's what helped the beetles survive through more than 50 milion years.
Yes,they have lived longer than dinosaurs.
So,the exoskeleton is that hard lair that covers the bugs outside. That's why nothing happens when they hit the ground even if you throw it from a skyscrapers.Maybe he gets out with one or two scratches but nothing happens.
Hope this helped you.
