If they continue to drop, you become anemic and would die eventually.

Iron is mainly used in the body for making red blood cells. If u lack enough iron, then your might develope anemia, which symptons include fatigue, dullness, skin whiteness among others. Fortunately, iron levels can be increased by consuming meat, specially liver, or in a vit and mineral supply.

Ignoring it is a bad idea. I've lived with borderline anemia all my life (I'm early 40's) By changing my diet to include seaweed (california rolls for example) I've helped bring my numbers up.
You can also take iron with folic acid and vitamin C. That helps your body absorb the iron better.

You may live with it for a long time without doing anything - but you'll likely have a reduced immune system if you ignore it - leading eventually to more illness, and yes, you CAN die from anemia.

Dangerous! It turns into anemia and later on causes liver problems and eventually the breakdown of the rest of the body.
