what is worn to a party.no idea of western clothes what are leggings,stockings,what is worn with a skirt(jeans skirt)-completely stuck

if your going to wear a skirt in this weather you'd be better off wearing tights underneath as they will keep your legs warmer
tights are a pice of material worn on the legs and bottom half of the body (up to the waist) that are tight, hence the name tights!
manly females wear them

If you wear a jean skirt then just about n e thing will go with it. Stick to colors that highlight your eyes and skin type. Be creative there is almost nothing that you can't pull off with the right attitude. Try not to put dark colors on top of light colors. Just be yourself and go with what u think looks good over here just about anything goes.

The great thing about America is that you don't have to dress like an "american". Actually, I'm not even sure how you could narrow it down to a generic style without knowing what kind of person you are.
Try watching "What Not to Wear" Friday night on TLC. That will give you good tips on basic fashion advice if you're concerned about looking appropriate for a job or something important. Otherwise, just be yourself and pick what you like.

Dude! You're in America! You can wear anything you want! The most popular thing out here since the beginning was JEANS. Its all about the denim. Once u got that, you're already half way there! But yeah hit the mall, and ask some working ppl what would look best on u, i'm sure they would hook you up!

Just be yourself what ever you think will look nice. Like if you have a skirt with lots of colors get the least color shown in the skirt and that color will be your top. Good luck and enjoy usa.

Wear jeans. Usually at the clothing stores they can help you find jeans that fit you properly.
As for shirts-t shirts and long sleeve ones are good for the weather.
Outerwear-jackets and sweaters are in and you can find some really nice ones, you better hurry though before they're all bought up for Christmas.
Shoes-boots, flats, tennis shoes, ect. Again, people at stores for this will help you find a shoe that fits properly.

Try stopping in at some department stores, and looking at the catalogs. They should show you what sort of things people wear.

go to the mall and look at the mannequins or other people walking around in the mall...people here wear a lot more jeans than in other countries....
