do i need some kinda program for that, or is there a way to do it with the default windows cd writer program thingy? please be specific (i'm not so smart when it comes to computers)!

There are different ways, but one that you can use is simply to rename the files so that you have numbers in front. For instance, a file named "ABC.TXT" can be renamed to read "000001ABC.TXT", followed by another renamed "000002DEF.TXT", etc. That way the files will be listed in numerical order, but the files will be listed the way you want them.

You'd have to burn them one file at a time. What benefit are you looking for?

Once they're written to the media, it doesn't matter the order that they were originally written. If you look at the folder structure, it will still list them alphabetically by default.

i change the file name by putting a number in front. then it stays in that order

the way i do it is simply dragging and dropping in the order you want them, but i dont know what kind of files you are talking about.

click on view at the top of the folder window. you can change the way they are displayed there
