"for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" and "judge not, lest ye be judged," why do Christians come to the LGBT group and say that gays can't be true Christians? If they think homosexuality is a sin, why is it worse than any other sin? Why is it ok for them to hate us but not ok for us to love each other?

First of, it's Fundamentalist Christians who say the GLBT group can't be Christian, not all Christians. There are some Christians who accept GLBTs and more who are neutral about GLBts. Remember, Jesus himself says nothing about homosexuality, and while Paul doesn't like it, he doesn't seem to like any intimate relationships, and concedes reluctantly to sex within marriage (1 Corinthians 7:8) (which is why we have a Christian society, instead of a Buddhist one.)

But the reason most Fundamentalists don't accept GLBT's as real Christians is because they are not gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender. GLBTs who grow up in a Fundamentalist home either reject the church, or hide their sexuality in some way (We all know about Ted Haggard, right?) And it is unlikely that a member of the GLBT community would join a Fundamentalist church.

And since they have that kind of limited contact with GLBT folk, it isn't surprising that Fundamentalists don't see any hypocrisy in declaring the "Love the sinner, hate the sin" line. They don't think about how their church is telling the gay, lesbian or bisexual person that they must reject their partners, must pretend that their love was never legitimate.

Please do an Internet search for GLBT friendly churches if you're interested.

First, I think you have some misconceptions about the Bible on this topic. Christians' position is not "it's ok for them to hate gays but not ok to love each other." God teaches through the Bible that we should love one another. Do I have to love the actions of, say, the murderer to love the person? Of course not. I can love the sinner but hate the sin (and we are all sinners, btw).

God clearly laid out things He wants us to abstain from after turning to Jesus for forgiveness, and one of those things is sexual immorality and homosexuality. Neither was His design for us, and if we indulge in them they'll hurt us spiritually and probably physically. Can gays be true Christians? I don't know. Only God knows who truly belongs to Him. But in order to be a Christian, one has to repent, i.e. turn from his sins. How can one claim to be a believer while following a lifestyle that he claims he should have turned his back on? This is all part of "by your fruit you will know them" in James chapter 2. I'm sure that the sin of murder is worse than the sin of gossip, but where homosexuality falls in the big picture is up to God. Why don't we just turn from all of it? A million years from now if we're believers in heaven, I'm sure we'll be mighty glad.

These people strive on having something to hate. I also find it interesting that judging other people is what a lot of religious people do all the time. when asked about God telling them not to judge, it's always masked with helping people or spreading the word. I'm not gay, and I don't know if it's OK with God. I also don't know if everything I do in my heterosexual life is OK with God. But it would suck to have someone constantly telling me you're going to hell cuz this book says you're sinning. The best thing you can do is ignore these people cuz they're never going to stop. Religion is the great divider of the world.

No one's judging you but trying to save you from eternal damnation. That's why we Christians (some, not all) might come on a little strong. We don't mean to; we just don't want anyone to go to Hell. We don't think homosexuality is the WORST sin because there is no such thing as the worst sin. It's all equal in God's eyes. That's all. Trust me, if it weren't a sin, I'd leave people alone from the start.

Because they feel they are doing God's work I guess. But you are correct, they shouldn't judge, only God should. I guess when they die they'll have to explain to God why they felt the need to do His job for Him.

Aside from all that though I really think God is being used as an excuse. Christians are suppose to try and convert or educate not ridicule. When they ridicule and quote a Bible passage I can't help but laugh because they can't see that they are using God as a tool.

Have you ever seen the movie Boondock Saints? There's a quote from there that I love "Do not rape, Do not steal, Do not kill, these are things that any man of any religion can agree with".

If you want to think gays are sinners fine go ahead, but why not getting pissed off at the guy that kills a stranger for the 50 bucks in his pocket? Why not yell at the rapist who took advantage of someone in the most personal way possible? Why bother with us small potatoes that are actually productive members of society? I'd love to hear someone tell me that being gay is worse than either one of those things.

That's what they need to understand. All sin is considered equal in the eyes of God, and they are damning themselves by ignoring Jesus's words that "He who is without sin cast the first stone." They need to take care of themselves and stop worrying about others.
(By the way, I don't think homosexuality is a sin. I never think that loving another person is a sin.)

Because they're stupid. Jesus's trampy little followers got out of hand and they decided that homosexuality was a sin, not god, and so now according to them we're all damned to hell lol.

Its all about hate, Tabitha. It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with hate.
You see, people don't hate because the bible says to, they ALREADY hate, so look to the bible for ammunition to support that hate.
Which of course means that they already hate themselves for some unknown reason. Psychologists have been preaching for years that the reason people hate is because of an internal hate or dislike of themselves. They can't keep it in, so they blow it off in some direction that the bible supposedly says ok to.

they think they are perfect in the eye's of God, when they know they committed so many sins and blame us for it. I just wish they wouldn't be so hypocritical.
