Hillary Clinton used to be on the board of directors for the WalMart Corporation while living in Arkansas. It seems like that would have been a good time to reccommend a change? It will be hard for her to question any popular views and still get elected.

walmart is based out of AR.. and she would still carry that state .. other than that I don't think going after wally-world would hurt her at all.. No one is going to go after abortion... even if they talk tough about it the nation is so divided that a move either way would be political suicide.. so all politicians from both sides will try to ride the fence, just a little to their own side and who knows with stem cell research.. that could go either way.. she is intelligent enough to voice her opinions about it in a way that won't piss everyone off.... so I don't think she will get trapped or hurt by any of these issues.

P.S. birdsnake.. walmart started in AR, is very big there.. everyone shops there.. and 76 of the 100 state reps for the government there are democrats...... it's fair to say your assessment is incorrect.

Hillary apparently believes that the survey says that Walmart is a good target. Of course she used to sit on the Board of Directors and took some nice payment for doing that. You could argue that her stint on the Walmart board was similar to her stint as CO-President. The actions that she approved of back then got us into a lot of trouble in future years.

At any rate, I would not spend a lot of time hollering about the World's biggest retailer. They got that way because a lot of people shop there every day. Not elitists from Chappaqu, but a lot of working stiffs like me.

I doubt it. Wal-Mart and the various abortion and stem-cell constituencies are pretty well lined up partisanship-wise. I doubt she lost anyone that would have supported her, or gained anyone that would otherwise have opposed her.

Barring a PR campaign of effectiveness never before seen to improve her image nationwide, her chances of winning the primary aren't very good, anyway.

Democrats shop at Macys and the Upper Class stores.
They consider people who shop at Walmart, and stores like it, as "trash".
Democrats consider themselves as Too High of Class to shop at Walley, Ace, Target, etc.
