Basically it comes down to ESP, telekinesis, telepathy, etc.

Do you believe in it?

It sounds silly but when I lie down around trees or nature words and images suddenly appear in my head that I didn't think on purpose. And it only happens when I am close to alive things like trees and bushes and ponds etc. It takes a long time for it happen though and I have to lie there for hours trying my hardest to blank my entire mind.

Sometimes if I think really hard about certain things I can make them happen, like once I was by the water tower and I was thinking really hard about how beautiful kingfishers are and then a red backed kingfisher flew up and landed quite close to me.

Now I can go to that same place and think really hard about that kingfisher and it will come and see me. If I go there and don't think about it and think about other things like trees or TV or clouds or something, the kingfisher doesn't come.

It's really strange but maybe I am just crazy.

Well, the human mind is capable of anything which is why most people say the phrase "you can do anything when you put your mind to it."
In order for ESP, telekinesis, and telepathy to take place people must be open to receiving this sort of power and whatever it brings. I believe in ESP, telekinesis, telepathy, etc. because it is possible as long as you believe you can make it happen or believe that it is possible.

I do believe in Esp now telekinesis and telepathy I don't know about but that's just because I haven't experienced them personally. I think the mind is a complex and wonderful thing that can't ever be fully explored through textbooks and tests.

There are people that are born prodigies and able to do things that are unbelievable. There are people that suffer brain injury and then are able to have photographic minds and do incredible things. It would be nice to see some actual evidence of someones consistent ability to perform those skills listed above but would you really want to hang around with someone that could read your thoughts all the time? Not me!

I believe! I know that we only use a percentage of our brain's capacity. Why is that? What is the rest of it for? We use all of our heart, lungs, stomach, entrails.... except for our appendix - but it did have a function once... why would we have all of our brain if it wasn't for something?
Deja Vu is real, right? And you cannot deny prophetic dreams... if you've had one.
I think that sometimes our brain's mess up and let us use the parts of the brain that are capable of ESP and such. And those people with "gifts" were probably born being able to use those parts full-time.

What matters what I believe? My belief is not going to make something true. Only empirically show evidence can do that. There is none for the things you have listed. As usual, the " we only use 10% of our brain " crowd was attracted to this question. Have you educated yourself in the scientific approach to this problem? Or are you just going to depend on belief?

Essentially the mind is a series of recognitions defined by difference. If something is different enough then you can percieve it.
For there to be "more" only means some new experience that we somehow recognize. So yes, there can be a whole new mind with a whole new set of recognitions. Maybe to be psychic is a trick of finding how to percieve enough of a difference to recognize a pattern.

Yes there is more than we know...if you want to read some really interesting stuff read about anesthesiology. There is a new theory about the brain (and consiousness) operating on a quantum level....it is really amazing what medical doctors are starting to understand about the brain

We only use 1% of our entire brain. I guess there is potential if we used the rest of it.
