Yes, usually you can tell alot about a person from the way he drives, what he drives, and how clean he keeps his vehicle. Sometimes there are exceptions to every rule, but the fast careless drivers are usually teens showing off, of in a hurry, and the very old drivers go to slow, and forget about their signal lights, and regular average people in between usually drive pretty normal.

I did a group project about this in my psychology class a few years ago and honestly it has nothing to do with each other. What we determined was 'it’s the vehicle that the vehicle that releases of various personality traits'.
I am a perfect example of this; I own a Chevy Silverado and a Honda civic. When I drive my Silverado I have that attitude of me me me only me on the road, I don't care about other motorists. I tend to have a lot more aggression, I get irritated by other drivers, sum it all up, an A$$ hole. When I’m in my Honda civic, I’m calm, cautious, generous, courteous..., all the good personality traits. So it’s the vehicle.
Hope that helps you

Not that I'm a relativity theorist but... I think that how you drive is determined by lots of things.....
what you drive... if you know crashing will hurt you will drive more carefully,
Whose car you drive.... if you are gonna pay for repairs you drive more carefully
Where you're going... if its a sunday drive and you're in no hurry you drive more sedately
Your age..... if you're 80, well... whatv you got to lose
your emotional state.... If you're angry, GET OUTA MY WAY
your upbringing....we have polite drivers, and then we have the rest
and yes, personality, ...the egg that binds the batter all together!

Perhaps. However, I do believe that those who talk while driving have defined a personality trait of selfish, irresponsibly that makes me wonder about what is going on in their brains as they zoom across the highway at 70/80 miles per hour rearing into my lane or the SUV next to them barely avoiding a collision.

yeah definatley. I drive spaced out with little regard for my own life (I think I slightly intended to kill myself once or rather I apathetically almost flipped my vehicle, I was like oh well I may as well let it happen so what if i die) I'm like one of the many rabbits I kill caught in headlights and I get very panicky when people loose faith in my driving ability I tend to loose faith in myself and like I say a rabbit caught in headlights. I once drove through a stop sign and almost got side swipped by a truck but I'm british and we don't have those I never expect a junction without a roundabout or traffic lights. I'm actually a very good driver but I'm quick to critisize myself and I very easily loose faith in myself to the point where I don't beleive I can do anything, I've never really understood it but this fear often freezes and paralyses me to the point where I get very lost and I have no control it, it takes me over and the world dissapears.

Maybe? But then alot of people must be full of rage and hate and impatience and are pretty brave in the car to talk smack behind a window but really a coward because they won't roll it down or get out of the car once they've stirred mess up on the highway.

Yes. If someone drives like an ******, then they usually are and the same goes with nice drivers who's communicative and courteous of other drivers and pedestrians. They are nice people so they drive nicely.

I think in part it is esp those parts that are in direct relation to an emotional response: competetion, agressiveness, assertiveness, respsonsibiity. But some of it will be attributable to situation, previous experience, etc
