If you really mean Henry VII, he was an obedient Catholic. If you mean Henry VIII, he was pretty indifferent to theological questions--except when the Church's power conflicted with his own. Early in his reign he "wrote" an attack on Lutheranism that earned him the title "Defender of the Faith", but after he broke with the Church over his divorce from Catherine, he basically didn't change much of the Catholic doctrine except the power structure.
