When was a time you were inspired and how did it change your attitude or outlook on life???

In high school I was in a science contest that I just entered because we got some bonus points in class for participating. I won... It was probably the first time I ever realized what I can do if I put forth some effort! It got me going alright... Stopped not caring and started working hard!
