That completely depends. If they buy them outfits just to dress them up for fun or they buy them for a good reason. Take me for example. I own a dog that originated from Mexico. Her furr is very thin. In the winter, she needs to wear a coat because it gets cold. I'm dressing her to keep her warm. Sure she's cute in her coat but that's not why I do it.

It depends. If they're treating their dogs like little humans, dressing them up every day, it's ridiculous. But buying a raincoat for trips outside, or a sweater for a small or short-haired dog, or even a Halloween costume or Santa Suit just for fun is ok.

i think that's the best thing u can do 4 a pet that show that the owner cares enough to go beyond just buying food. it gives you and your dog a sense of style !!!!!!!!!!!!

My pooch comes to work with me and it gets very cold on a horse farm. She loves her sweaters and shivers when i take them off.Plus it's fun!I get a kick out of peoples reactions to her clothes.
As for the cost I go for the bargains.I have never paid anymore than 15.00 for a coat. Its true though,I've seen sweaters for 80 bucks, mamma mia

I buy outfits for my chihuahua dog. And I think it's funny, it looks sweet, I just like it. Am I weird for you??? What do you think you know about me? I'm sorry but I just can't understand why it's such a big thing.

I can see booties for dogs who walk on hot pavement or on ice (Sled dogs wear booties to protect their paws.), jackets for clipped dogs (or horses), fluorescent vests for hunting or rescue dogs, and bulletproof vests for police dogs. Little "cutesy" outfits are kind of ridiculous, though. My animals have never shown an interest in wearing clothes, and I've never felt the need to dress them up like dolls.

I think it's cute, but it's also a way to keep your pet warm.

I think it is dumb... However, I don't judge the owners for this.. I guess I think - Hey, that person wastes money on outfits for there pet and there pet hates wearing it...
