just bought hd tv and tried xbox 360 with and without vga cable but no sound???

do i need a toslink digital audio cable aswell??

your xbox 360 should come with the correct cables they have coloured tips- red blue green is the (high def)video and the white and red is audio. dont use the yellow one. you dont need to use the vga adapter if you have high def

make useful cables are related, there's no longer something incorrect with the cables (cables, tears, donning), make useful it quite is desperate to HD/SD on the change in case you're utilising the assorted plugs. If this all works and your Xbox reflects no errors codes or messages the ninety 9% possibility says it quite is the cables and to pass on line and purchase new ones. If i'm incorrect nicely purchase a Gamecube?
