Foundation in liquid form can help your face have an air-brushed appearance by evening out skin tone (blotchiness, light freckles, some darkness under eyes, etc.). Foundation is also lighter in weight - it shouldn't be very thick, so that it can easily spread over your skin, while still showing your natural color through. Concealer is much thicker - a very concentrated version, usually lighter than your foundation color that you can use on very dark spots or areas, as mentioned by the other answers. It shouldn't allow much, if any, color through. Hope that helps!

Foundation is a base. You put it all over your face to even out skin tone, and make your skin look better. There are tons of types- compact, liquid, cream, etc. Some moisturize, some give a matte finish, some even combat pimples. On top of foundation, you put concealer. Creamy concealer (usually comes in a tube) is generally for the undereye area. A thicker concealer (stick or paste) is used most often for blemishes. Foundation evens everything out, and concealer covers any problem areas.

Concealer is used to cover things like blemishes, circles under your eyes, and dark spots. Foundation is used on the entire face. You can apply concealer under or over the foundation, but I prefer under.

Ok so here we go. lets start with concealers. concealers are to cover up small blemishes like under eye bags and pimples usually concealers are liquid just because they go on smoother. now a foundation is to go all over your face to make your skin tone look smoother and it can come in liquid or powder liquid,to me, looks more caked on but powder looks more natural good luck

The answer is in the names. Foundation is more liquidy and acts as a base for the whole face. You use it to even out skin tone or make your skin look smoother. Concealer hides blemishes, like zits or pimples, freckles, and, most commonly, dark circles. Concealer comes in sticks, wand applicators, or pots.

Foundation is for overall face, and concealer "conceals" any imperfections in the skin. Put concealer on first and then foundation over top for the best result.

Foundation is to make your skin tone look even and flawless. However, if you have a blemish, the foundation won't hide that so you blot some concealer on. :)

A concealer is usually thicker, and would look very caked on were you to use it as a foundation.

Foundation is what you wear under your make-up. Concealer is what you use to cover up or "conceal" blemishes or pimples.

Concealer is for "spots" coverage - like is you have a zit or dark undereye circles.
Foundation fills in wrinkles and such and gives your face a flawless looking complection.
