fyi... yes, Carlos Mencia was born Ned Holness, but when his parents gave him to his aunt and uncle to raise, the aunt and uncle legally renamed him Carlos Mencia. Whiel he wasn't born Carlos Mencia, his name is legal and legitimate. He actually is very intelligent, and was promoted from 6th to 10th grade and would've graduated with a degree in electronic engineering if he hadn't gotten the comedy bug.

Genius. Absolute genius, saying the things that we ourselves want to say and/or want to hear other people say, whether we like it or not, know it or not.
I agree with the first responder: he tells it like it is, because that IS how we are; we all have cultural or ethnical or racial biases and assumptions about others, whether we know we do or not. It's just human nature, and he exploits it in a funny-as-hell manner. Also, he helps to make those who are social excluded, and ignored, not invisible. He said that he gets just as many emails and letters and stuff as he gets hate mail about people who thank him for making them not invisible, not a social outcast that is overall not discussed and not regarded or acknowledged.

If you find the jokes he does so offensive, then you are wwaaaaaaayyyyyyy ttttoooooooooooooooo sensitive. It's just like those idiots who are "offended" whenever they see a Christmas tree or a cross, saying "that's offensive to my religion and it offends me greatly!" bull crap. If you're offended by seeing stuff about Christianity and Christmas then YOU'RE TOOOOOOOO SENSITIVE and you need to either get a life or take some time to actually think about what you're deciding to do: being an individual or being a liberal?

In my opinion, neither. If Comedy Central wanted someone to make obvious, banal humor I could have done it and for much less. I plan on using the word juxtaposition three words ago. But it is an amazing contrast Mencia vs. Chappelle. One had talent, the other can associate different ethnic and social groups with widely held prejudices.

he's an idiot..I love controversial humor especially if it's insightful in some way. He uses the same old tired stereotypes and lame jokes and dumbass skits night after night. Oh yeah, his real name is Ned Holness. F*cking fake

I think he is cool. He is different, not scared to make fun of anyone. It is comedy, not racism, if anything, I think he is trying to prove how idiotic racism really is, and the people who live in fear of saying the wrong thing to the wrong guy.
His Show was funnier the first season, it kind of seems like he is trying to hard now......

Jerk. He's loud and repetitive. All his jokes are based on either race or homosexuality, or they've been done before. And his skits are suckbooty and dragged out.

BOTH!!!
He's a jerk and he figured out a way to make his *** hole remarks make a little sense. That's why he's so damn funny.
