The article on the bank Robbery of Heritage Savings & Loan was on the front page of the Hinton Record the next day. The robbery was in either 1987 or 1988. The robber stole one of the employees cars, that is Connie Wauhob, the General Manager. Four other employees, two female bank workers and two young girls, were at the bank at the time of the robbery. Hinton, Oklahoma is a small town, west of the Oklahoma City area.

Here's what you do. You take this Connie woman's name to the police records department and see if they can search for reports listing her as a witness or victim or both. That will give you the date of the robbery.

Next go to the library in Hinton and they should have the old newspapers. From that far back, they have probably been digitized or copied to microfiche. With date in hand you won't have to search through 700 different hard copies.

If the police refuse to work with you file a Open Records or Sunshine Law request for public information.
