I stood in line almost 2 full days to get my son the new Play station 3 and between that and the games to go with it I spent over $1000. Plus he got a new lap top which cost wayyyyyyy too much at $2400 but its the best on the market right now! So he should be happy RIGHT? God I sure hope so!

First - I agree that Xmas is just another way to forget the REAL reason of the season - Christ! So let's go with Christmas, shall we? :)

Second - I have a REALLY limited budget this year, so i think the most I spent on one person is like $35 but overall I probably will spend close to $150 or $200 :-\ which I don't really have lol..oh well...looks like less gas money :)

Do you know the parable about the widow's mite? All she had in the world was one small coin, but she gave it anyway. Jesus said she had given more than anyone in the community because she gave everything she had.
Yes, it's wonderful to give gifts, but they should not be valued in currency, but what they cost the giver in terms of what he has.

I gave my friend a nice jacket that I'd bought at a yard sale, and to the Salvation Army Orphanage a 25 Kg sack of rice and a 35 kg sack of beans, (actually, a friend chipped in on this).
