My mother just had a miscarriage and I want to make this a special Christmas for her so she will be happy again. My family has been through a lot, from losing our first house in a hurricane, our second one in a fire, and two really, really close friends dieing. And my mom has given everything she has to keep this family together. She is really close to her parents and sister, and this will be her first Christmas without them, and I want it to be really special for her. So I need a gift that will tell her that everything is going to be okay, that I love her, and that I think she is the most amazing person in the entire world. What is a good gift for a daughter to give her mother that says all of that? I would really appreciate any ideas.

You sound like a great daughter! Your love and caring for her is the best gift you can give! For her to know that you are there for her and that you love her would be great! (I know, I'm a mother and that's what I want!).
If you want to get her an actual gift, I would suggest something that you can do together.... a day at the spa, tickets to a show or dinner, etc. or perhaps something that she can always keep, like a piece of jewelry with an inscription.
Good luck, God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I don't know that you're going to find a good material gift for someone who has been through so much; I think you need something thoughtful rather than expensive.
I think a photo album or scrapbook is a good idea. You could also give her a "mother-daughter" day. Let her pick the day & take her to (or make her) breakfast or lunch, then go for massages, or shopping, or to do something she likes.

I am so sorry to hear about that. The most important thing is you and your whole family can be together. Since your condition now is not so good, I think the most practical way is to do what ever you can do to help your mother, such as cooking for the family, doing laundry or cleaning...

You should make something, that way her gift is one of a kind. You could make her a scrap book w/ pics of all the good times you've had together. Even though she wont have her parents, and sister, with her she still has you. And be sure to let her know that you will be her shoulder to lean on, since she's been though all that, I believe she can do anything.

Maybe write a heartfelt letter to her about what she means to you and frame it to make it look real nice.
