my mouse just passed away, and i was wondering what other kinds of small or exotic mammals can live comfertably in a 10 gallon tank. Im not looking to replace him right away, however I would like to start doing some research on a few other kinds of small animals. Has anyone ever kept HAPPILY an exotic mammal in a 10 gallon? Im not speaking hampsters and gerbils.. thats a little... typical. I would like something to excite my family a little more than that.

a 10 gallon can house several creature. Personally, I like rats and mice. Rats are very smart and great pets, but I would choose a small rat as opposed to a large one. I would also try to adopt one! Yes, you can adopt small animals too! There's a rat adoption here by me! Several to choose from, but I doubt you live near Fort Wayne, IN.

Small Lizards are great pets such as: Geckos, Euromastics, or texas horntoads...they need very little as far as supplies and are very interesting to interact with because they are so smart
