Positive... and according to the Quantum Physics Gang (well, they're not REALLY a gang, but you know what I mean....) it takes only 17 seconds of sustained positivity of thought and focus to open yourself up to positive problem solving creativity and a place to generate healing of all kinds.

Heya slither,
I think that is a very broad question. I would think that it very much depends on the person and their individual, ideals, beliefs, and thoughts as to what could assist them to heal both physically and emotionally.

For me, when I am relaxed and listening to music such as the Eagles, that gives me time for emotional healing, it kinda creates an inner peace that just lets everything else work itself out.

As far as physically healing well that all depends on the mood you are in at the time, but before I can heal physically, I must be in a relaxed state emotionally.

Absolutely calm and relaxation in your conscious mind, then tapping into your subconscious with the suggestion of healing. As for brainwaves, Delta is deep sleep, Theta is drowsiness (also first stage of sleep), Alpha is relaxed but alert, while Beta is a highly alter state. I'd aim for an alpha or theta state

Having a purpose - a reason to get well - is the key. Having a purpose bigger than yourself and having a passion to serve that purpose are powerful healing forces that can activate the mind/body to enter a state of health and healing.
