I have a computer that has 2 pc3200/400mhz 512mb SIMM sticks.

I recently got another 512 mb stick of DIMM pc3200/400mhz memory.

I only have 2 slots of memory, and they are all full.

What should I do?

Should I just leave the SIMM memories or should I install 1 simm and 1 dimm??? i reaaaaly need help.

TY everyone!

Try KIMM, one big slot that holds lots of sticks.

If you are right and one is SIMM and the other DIMM, the SIMM slot and DIMM slot are different sizes. They wouldn't fit.

I'll bet that they are both DIMMS. I don't believe they made SIMMS in PC3200.
As the ratings are the same, it won't make any difference which ones you use.

Dimm are newer ones which means that they are better SIMMs are the older ones that is less MHzs. Usually the old ones are like 144Pin ones and the 100 to 133MHz and the new ones are like 400 to 533MHz.

You are mistaken, SIMMs are obsolete, it is shaped differently and certainly not a 400 MHz stick, but anyway, here is bottomline: none of us can say what you just got, but not a good idea to use it as a mixed upgrade.

That motherboard couldn't possibly have simms.

sdr memory and ddr memory are different and i don't think there are any mobos out there that support both at same time. sdr means single data rate and ddr means dual data rate which means it's twice as fast as a sdr of same MB(pretty much)
