I support the War in Iraq for two reasons: One, what Saddam was doing over there to the Kurds and Shiites is called genocide. Exactly what Hitler did, though on a smaller scale. Two, the citizens over there did not have any sort of responsible government, and basically were left to fend for themselves. I think we should stay until the new government is fully established and stable.

It's easy now to say what is wrong: it's called hindsight. Do I ever think the people over there are going to get along? No and I don't think it's Bush's fault. He went in there with good intentions. The problem is that the people need and want our help (and yes I base this off the things I see in the media so don't tell me to pay attention to the media) but yet don't want to commit to the fact that they need to do this themselves. We can only help them so much and then they have to take the reigns. So do I think we should continue? I am a little weary about this because I don't think we will win but at the same time I have hope that maybe just maybe the people of Iraq will actually bother to stand up and do this themselves and then we can leave.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove - there's pleanty of blame to go around. I wish that I could say I told you so, but sadly, I didn't speak out. I didn't participate in the massive protests at the start of this war. At this time, the only solution that I see is to partition Iraq into Kurdistan, Shiite Islamistan and Sunni Islamistan. We should assist those families that would be willing to trade places of residence and business to go live among their own kind. It may sound like ethnic cleansing, but the difference is that it would be voluntary relocation with cooperating members of opposing factions. It might even promote some healing.

Bush's fault, for sure. This was his baby. And no, we shouldn't continue. There's no point. The region is chaos, and there's nothing more we can do except get more soldiers dead every day.

People who talk about staying and winning don't understand that we can't win. There's no way to keep the region stable now that it's into the civil war phase.

I thought we were looking for WMD?..No...wait...we were looking for Osama....no wait....we were looking for Sadam....no wait, we are birthing a new democracy....
Of course bush is at fault...its a nightmare and it will be several years, and many presidents before his mess is cleaned up.
It would be immorral to quit now, but if we were going to go in, we should have cleaned it up promply and swiftly, not in a limp wristed fashion.
If were weren't going to give it 110%, we should never have gone in.

It's not totally his fault. We can't just leave, but I think we need a new strategy.
