First baby? Healthy pregnancy (so far)? Then chances are you will actually go over due! Over 75% of first time moms, with normal pregnancies deliver AFTER their due dates, and still nearly 30% of them are induced after their due dates. So, chances aren't high for preterm labor, and honestly not anything I would hope for. Every day baby stays in there, the better a chance for no complications. I would talk to your OB if it's that important to you, they might induce, but I highly doubt they will during the 37th week, maybe 38th though. Good Luck!

Babies come in their own time. No one can say. Is your husband going on a business trip? If not then starting about 36 weeks he should stay home, just in case. 37 weeks is considered term by most doctors so there is the chance that if you go into labor they won't stop it. Though, if you have a healthy pregnancy then you should carry to 40 weeks. Either way, hubby should stay home.

It's unknown about the odds, but consider Murphey's Law.....what can go wrong will, at the worst possible moment. Tell your hubby to stay home. Best of luck to you and your new baby!!!

You can't deliver when you want to...he's going to have to put it on hold if he doesn't want to miss anything. Wanting to go out of town is pretty unacceptable when your wife could give brith at any time.

Babies aren't on anyone else's schedule except their own. If you think that you can plan things, think again. Babies need your full attention and they plan for you.
