Does anyone know what happened to the Old Shawn on Days of our Lives?? His name was Jason Cook?

His real name was Jason cook but I cant seem to find anywhere what he is doing now

When Cook's contract ended in Sep. he decided to call it quits to pursue other interests such as writing and directing films. He is currently making the indie film Social Security Guard.

He quit and I haven't heard what he's doing now.
