My mom once told me that she always loved me just didn't like my personality.... sooooo, you have a father who has a personality that sounds pretty hard to like.

Maybe you should ask your grandpa if he would be willing to pick you up at school since dad isn't responsible - try to eliminate areas in your life that your father keeps failing in - like being on time or even showing up.... and be glad you have a grandma that is willing to be with you when dad is out doing his thing.... better to be at grandma's than with dad.....

You have the right to be pissed off and not be around your dad when at all possible.... maybe if he realizes this he might change his ways?

If you're up to the task - let your father know how you feel and that you're not interested in being around him when he acts like a little kid.....

No one has the right to critisize you for being too harsh or not harsh enough. You feel what you feel and only you and your dad working it out will change things. Some day he may change, I just hope it's not too late.

If you don't want to have any contact with your dad, then don't. It's your choice.

Maybe not, distance yourself, and when he changes you will know what to do.
